Family Photography in Mountain Home, Arkansas

GOLDEN-HOUR SESSIONS · MOUNTAIN HOME & NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS

I love being a family photographer — capturing the little in-between moments as much as the classic everyone-look-here shots. These are outdoor, golden-hour sessions at some of the prettiest spots around Mountain Home, where the light is soft and warm and everyone can just relax and be together. My goal is real, true-to-color photos you'll treasure. Here are some of my favorites from over the years — and when you're ready, you can book yours online in just a few minutes.

Family sessions with me are outdoor, golden-hour sessions built to feel easy — about an hour, no stiff posing, and plenty of room for the littles to warm up, run around, and just be themselves. I guide you the whole way, so all you have to do is show up and be together. These are made for immediate families and small groups of about six or fewer; if you're gathering a bigger, multi-generational crew — grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins — my Extended Family & Reunion sessions are built for that instead. However your kids are feeling that day, we'll roll with it, and you'll walk away with warm, true-to-color family photos you'll treasure for years.

FAQ

How much does a family photography session cost in Mountain Home?

Family sessions with Michele McCoy Photography are $275. That includes a relaxed one-hour outdoor session and your full gallery of professionally edited images in a private online gallery to download, share, and keep — no image limits, no upsells. Current pricing and any specials are always on the booking page.

How many people can be in a family session?

Family sessions are built for immediate families and small groups — about six people or fewer. If you're bringing a larger, multi-generational group (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins), Michele's Extended Family & Reunion sessions are sized and priced for the whole crew — book one of those instead.

Where do family sessions take place?

Family sessions are photographed outdoors at a beautiful spot around Mountain Home, Arkansas, chosen by Michele for the best light and comfort. You don't need to pick a location — she'll choose one and share the details before your session. She serves Mountain Home and the surrounding North Central Arkansas towns like Gassville, Cotter, Flippin, and Bull Shoals.

What time of day are family sessions?

Outdoor family sessions are timed around golden hour — that soft, warm light near the end of the day — because it's when everyone looks their best and the photos feel their warmest. Michele will confirm your exact start time along with the location.

How long is a family session?

About one hour — enough time for the group shots plus the relaxed, in-between moments, with room for little ones to warm up. No rushing, no stiff posing.

What should we wear?

Coordinating (not matching) soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your family. Pick outfits everyone feels comfortable in — comfortable always photographs best. Michele's happy to help with ideas once you book.

What if my kids get fussy or won't cooperate?

Totally normal — and totally okay. Michele guides the whole session and leaves room for breaks, snacks, and warm-up time. Some of the best shots come from the candid, imperfect moments, so there's no pressure for everyone to be "perfect."

When will I get my photos?

Your fully edited gallery is delivered through a private online gallery in about three to four weeks, ready to download, share, and print.
