Newborn Photography in Mountain Home, Arkansas

WARM, SAFE STUDIO SESSIONS · MOUNTAIN HOME, AR

There's nothing quite like those first few weeks — the tiny fingers, the sleepy yawns, the way they curl right up. I'd love to capture it for you. My newborn sessions here in Mountain Home are relaxed and unhurried, in a warm, safe studio where your baby can sleep and snuggle at their own pace. These are the photos you'll be so glad you have. Here are a few of my favorites from over the years.

Newborn photos capture something you can't get back — how impossibly small they were, the way they curled up on your chest, those first sleepy days before everything sped up. Sessions run up to three hours, so there's plenty of room to feed, soothe, and settle on your baby's schedule, never the clock's. You're welcome to include siblings and grandparents, or keep the focus just on baby. Most families book for the first two weeks after birth, when newborns are at their sleepiest and snuggliest — and because babies rarely arrive on schedule, I'll help you adjust the timing once your little one is actually here. Gentle, baby-led posing throughout, and a gallery you'll treasure long after these days blur together.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a newborn photography session cost in Mountain Home?

Newborn sessions with Michele McCoy Photography are $375. That includes up to a three-hour studio session and your full gallery of professionally edited images in a private online gallery to download, share, and keep — no image limits and no upsells. Current pricing and any specials are always on the booking page.

When should I schedule newborn photos — how old should my baby be?

Newborn sessions are best in your baby's first two weeks — ideally 5 to 14 days old — when babies are at their sleepiest and easiest to pose and snuggle. Book a date in that window; if you're still expecting, just pick a date about 5–14 days after your due date. Babies rarely arrive on schedule, so once yours is here, we'll adjust the timing together — no stress.

Where do newborn sessions take place?

All newborn sessions are photographed at Michele's studio at 209 N College St, Suite B in Mountain Home, Arkansas. The studio is kept warm and quiet for your baby's comfort, so there's nothing you need to bring beyond your little one and any special keepsakes you'd like included.

How long is a newborn session?

Up to three hours. Newborn sessions are completely unhurried — we take all the time we need to feed, soothe, and settle, so nothing ever feels rushed. Baby leads the pace.

Can siblings and parents be in the newborn photos?

Absolutely. You're welcome to include siblings, parents, and grandparents for part of the session, or keep the focus just on baby — whatever feels right for your family. Michele guides everyone gently and keeps it relaxed.

Is newborn posing safe?

Yes — your baby's safety and comfort come first in everything Michele does. Posing is gentle and baby-led, with plenty of breaks for feeding and soothing. And if your baby or a sibling is feeling under the weather, just reach out and we'll reschedule — little ones always come first.

How should we prepare, and what should we bring?

Not much! The studio is warm and ready for your session. A loose-fitting sleeper for baby (nothing with tight elastic) makes changes easy and keeps marks off their skin, and soft, neutral tones photograph best if parents or siblings are joining. Feeding baby close to your arrival helps them settle. Bring any special keepsakes — a blanket, an outfit, or a name sign — you'd like included.

When will I get my photos?

Your fully edited gallery is delivered through a private online gallery in about 4–6 weeks, ready to download, share, and print.

How do I book a newborn session in Mountain Home?

Just click Book a Session and pick a date in your baby's first two weeks (or about 5–14 days after your due date if you're still expecting). A 50% retainer holds your spot, with the balance due 7 days before. If your baby arrives early or late, we'll simply adjust the date together — booking ahead is easy and expected.
